The Secrets to Shawn’s helping so Many People
For over two decades Shawn has literally helped thousands of people transform their lives through God’s power. How you may ask? He uses Biblical principles to organically create and implement cutting edge counseling techniques that he tailors to each client. His innovative techniques have served to set so many people free. When asked what the secrets to his success are, Shawn said, “It is loving people the way God loves them.” When asked to be more specific, the following is what he shared:
“I’m not sure there is one secret to how I have helped so many people. I know that it’s not me, but God loving others through me in specific ways. You see, God loves us with an everlasting, always pursuing love that seeks to constantly bring us back into a right relationship with Him. I ask God to give me His vision and His heart of love and compassion for every person I see. Then I move toward helping them in the process of reconciliation with God, others, and themselves.
I believe my clients know and feel the compassion I have for them. I get to know the real person and where they are at in their story. I believe they know that I care deeply for them and am highly invested in their feeling valued and being successful in our journey together. For me counseling is more then a job, it’s a calling. A calling to awaken the vision of who God says they are. To help them connect to His love through practical ways that make a tangible difference in their everyday life. For many it looks like a saved marriage, others experience freedom from depression and anxiety, and for so many women the difference is starting to live from a position of being loved and knowing they are beautiful (instead of seeking to be loved and giving up their beauty and identity in the process). There is so much more I could say, but I think that’s a good start.”
